Citing and Quoting Assignment

In this assignment you are asked to take two large quotations, turn them into block quotes, and provide in-text and reference citations for the quotations.

Step-by-step instructions

1. Download the citingandquoting template file from the templates folder. You can copy and paste the raw file here: citingandquoting raw or click the download button in the templates folder citingquoting_template
2. Take the quotes in the template and turn them into blockquotes.
3. Supply both quotes an in-text citation using the format (Author Date: Page).
4. Add a reference citation in the References section (in an unordered list).
   • For the book, use the following format: Author. Date. *Title*. Location of Publication: Place of Publication.
   • For the article, use the following format: Last Name, First Name. Date of Publication. Title. Journal Title. Volume Number (Issue Number): Page Number(s).
5. Save the file and submit it.
